The maker’s app for Superfit treadmills is Gymax, published by Costway. It is free on the App Store. Treadmill Pro is a second option that speaks the same Bluetooth protocol. It is free to download on iPhone, iPad and Android; free workouts have a session time limit, and Pro removes it. One Costway Superfit is marked as working with it, and the rest are untested.

Gymax is the safer pick if your Superfit came with it and works. Treadmill Pro is for cases where you want one app for several machines, want Apple Health sync, or can’t get Gymax to connect. The App Store listing showed version 1.3.2 when we looked. It had too few ratings for a rating overview, so we quote none.
What Treadmill Pro does with a Superfit
The Gymax protocol in our code has start, pause, stop and speed commands, a 12 km/h ceiling and an incline range of 0 to 15 for machines that have incline. That is what the app can send. It does not prove every Superfit accepts every command.
Status for the models in our database (19 October 2026): Costway Superfit is marked as working (Gymax), Costway SP37513SL and Superfit TBD are marked as not working, and Costway SP37914US and Costway 2-in-1 Folding have no report yet. See /devices.
Marks are left by users after a session. Your treadmill could differ.
Without the remote
We have no confirmation that a Superfit will start with the remote missing. Retail listings and a hobby forum suggest some units pair with the remote before they run. Test first: switch the belt on at the power switch, open the app and try to start at low speed. If nothing happens, check the remote battery and see Superfit remote lost.
Connect
- Close Gymax and any other app that talks to the treadmill.
- Switch the treadmill on and scan within a few minutes, before Bluetooth sleeps.
- Allow Bluetooth (and Nearby devices on Android 12+).
- Connecting can take up to about 15 seconds; if it times out, the app retries once. You can also choose Gymax by hand in Settings.
