Treadmill Pro can connect to the Sperax Pro and the Sperax RM-01 from your phone, and users have marked both as connecting. That says nothing about the safety of the machines themselves: the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has told owners of these two models, among others, to stop using them.
Safety notice before you connect anything
On 16 April 2026 the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned consumers to stop using Sperax walking pads and treadmills of the models Pro, Q1, RM-01 and RM-02. The agency reports 201 cases of sudden speed changes or abrupt stops, with at least 66 falls or injuries including one concussion, and 573 reports of overheating, fires and other thermal incidents. It says the importer has refused to agree to an acceptable recall. The model number is on a label near the power switch (CPSC warning, 16.04.2026, checked 19.10.2026).
The Pro and the RM-01 are on our list because users connected them to the app. We only speak about the connection with the app, not about the safety of the hardware. If you own one of the named models, follow the CPSC warning. A phone app cannot fix a machine that overheats or changes speed on its own.
What the app does for a Sperax
Sperax pads usually ship with a small remote and their own Sperax Fitness app (retailer listings, e.g. ypc.co.uk, 19.10.2026). Treadmill Pro is a separate free app for iPhone, iPad and Android. It scans for treadmills nearby, connects over Bluetooth, and lets you change speed from the screen.
- The Sperax Pro connects through standard Bluetooth fitness protocol (FTMS).
- The RM-01 uses Sperax’s own command format, which Treadmill Pro supports with a dedicated driver.
It does not start a treadmill that is not paired, and it does not go past what your treadmill supports.
Model statuses
The list on this page comes from the Treadmill Pro compatibility database (read 19.10.2026). The Pro and RM-01 are shown as working, which means only that the app connects to them; follow the CPSC warning above. Other Sperax models are not tested.
Statuses are user-reported marks, not lab tests. Results on your model may differ. If it works or fails for you, mark the result in the app.
